1- Analytical laboratories Department:-

• Perform all routine analysis according to the international standard methods on different petroleum products in order to determine their physical and chemical properties and determine their acceptance according to the national and international standard specifications.
• Carry on the laboratory analysis for other industrial and petroleum companies, these tests are charged in accordance with the Egyptian general petroleum corporation
• Training and developing technical staff and employees in petroleum field either from Egypt or Arabic or foreign countries.
• Participate at ISO program in order to organize and document quality of products at different steps. Also standardization of instruments which are used in inspection and tests and can affect the quality of different petroleum products.

2- Quality control Department:-

Quality control department concerning insurance the quality of fuels types , lubricants , jet fuel , avgas , marine fuel during handling and storage processes in services stations , main depot , airports and bunker.

Analytical Research Department:

This department aims to participate in ISO plane for production and evaluation of products. It co-oparte with Follow up Production department in changing the formulation.
Moreover, it participate with Acadimic Scientefic reseach to carry on the national scientefic projects. Also in evaluation of additives and finel oil, beside solving any problem facing the oil. The Department can offer analysis to Petrolume product of other companys using the following lab tests.
Kinamatic viscosity at 40°C and 100°C, flash (open-closed) , Viscosity at low temp ( CCS , MRV ) , Pour Point, Foam, Air release, evaporation loss ( Noak ) , Shear, Oxidation stability, TAN, TBN, IR.

Follow up production Department:

• Monitoring the production of lubricating oils and greases.
• Insuring both the quality and quantity control of the produced lubricants.
• Implementation of the lubricants yearly plan.
• Defined specification and formulation of both component and products.

1- Research performance sector :-

In this laboratory, the performance characteristics of lubricating oils and greases being used industry are tested, such as extreme pressure, welding load, coefficient of friction, scoring. Standard test rigs are used in accordance with standard test method.

2- Emission Measurements Department Definition :-

Emission Measurements Department equipted with devices for analyzing and measuring the exhaust gas components and the percentages of these component emitted from engines and vehicles which use different types of fuel (Gasoline, Diesel, and CNG), Also can measure Octane number of Gasoline fuel, and measure the performance and efficiency of heavy duty vehicles.

3- Engine Performance Test Department:

The department run-in the overhauled engine according to a specific program of different loads and speeds for its crucial effect on prolonging the engine life.
The department also carries out performance test on engines by measuring :

• The maximum horsepower
• The maximum torque.
• The brake specific fuel consumption.
• The test is done according to the standard method ISO 158.
• The department also carries out training courses for both engineers & Technicians on how to carry out the performance test.
• The department can also measure the fuel consumption of vehicles on the road in field tests.
